Welcome to SJ Center for Environmental Education!
Since early 1991 the Friends of Northern San Jacinto Valley have been leading walks in the 20,000-acre wildlife area located in Nuevo. The programs included beginning bird walks, wild flower tours, insects, geography, astronomy and archaeology for the general public on Saturday or Sunday. Groups of school children came out to the wildlife area during the week on occasion. The San Jacinto Center for Environmental Education was created in 2004 to from the desire to bring more school-age children to the San Jacinto Wildlife Area.
If you are interested in public walks, scientific research, or environmental education programs for you students, please contact us. We will customize all programs to meet your needs and your curriculum. All K-12 curricula are correlated to California State Content Standards and are multi-disciplinary.
