The programs included beginning bird walks, wild flower tours, insects, geography, astronomy and archaeology for the general public on Saturday or Sunday. Groups of school children came out to the wildlife area during the week on occasion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The San Jacinto Center for Environmental Education was created in 2004 to from the desire to bring more school-age children to the San Jacinto Wildlife Area.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are interested in public walks, scientific research, or environmental education programs for you students, please contact us. We will customize all programs to meet your needs and your curriculum. Hosted by the San Jacinto Center for Environmental Education, this will be a place to find out information about field trips, special events, and to post your comments on environmental education topics.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The San Jacinto Center for Environmental Education is dedicated to the environmental and cultural education of students, grades K-12. We work with school districts to bring children &lt;strong&gt;into the field for hands-on programs&lt;/strong&gt;, developing a interdisciplinary curriculum that meets California State Content Standards.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We work closely with university students and scientists who are interested in doing research on local plant species and wildlife.
